Foreign PPI increased by 40.35 percent annually in March
The Foreign Producer Price Index (FPI) increased by 1.65 percent monthly and 40.35 percent annually in March. Accordingly, in March, FPI increased by 1.65 percent monthly, 40.35 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, 6.16 percent compared to December of the previous year and 79.2 percent compared to the twelve-month averages. 40.48 percent increase in manufacturing Looking at the annual changes in two sectors of the industry, there was a 33.63 percent increase in mining and quarrying and a 40.48 percent increase in manufacturing. Considering the annual changes in main industry groups, intermediate goods increased by 39.26 percent, durable consumer goods increased by 42.80 percent, non-durable consumer goods increased by 39.44 percent, energy increased by 23.04 percent, and capital goods increased by 44.24 percent. Monthly changes in two sectors of the industry were calculated as 1.35 percent increase in mining and quarrying and 1.66 percent increase in manufacturing. Monthly changes in main industry groups were realized as 1.69 percent increase in intermediate goods, 2.35 percent increase in durable consumer goods, 1.42 percent increase in non-durable consumer goods, 2.79 percent increase in energy, and 1.25 percent increase in capital goods. According to the annual HD-PPI, 9 sub-sectors showed lower and 16 sub-sectors showed higher changes. Metal ores of the HD-PPI sectors increased by 15.9 percent, coke and refined petroleum products by 23.04 percent, and base metals by 30.03 percent, respectively. On the other hand, beverages were determined as the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most with 64.70 percent, other non-metallic mineral products with 56.47 percent, fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment with 55.18 percent. According to the monthly YD-PPI, 15 sub-sectors showed lower changes and 10 sub-sectors showed higher changes. When examined monthly, the only sub-sector that showed a decrease was computers and electronic and optical products with 0.10 percent. On the other hand, beverages were recorded as the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most with 6.62 percent, other manufactured goods with 4.08 percent and basic metals with 3.25 percent.
