Competition Board launches investigation into 6 cosmetics companies
The Competition Board has decided to launch an investigation into 6 undertakings operating in the cosmetics and personal care products sector. According to the announcement on the Competition Authority’s website, the Board has concluded the preliminary investigation conducted on the allegation that Avon Cosmetics Products Industry and Trade Inc., Farmasi International Trade Inc., Kosan Cosmetics Marketing and Trade Inc., NAOS Istanbul Cosmetics Industry and Trade Ltd. Co., Pierre Fabre Dermo Cosmetics Ltd. Co. and Yöntem Profesyonel Kozmetik Ürünleri Industry and Trade Ltd. Co. violated the Law on the Protection of Competition by fixing resale prices and restricting internet sales. The Board, which discussed the information, documents and findings obtained, found the findings serious and sufficient and decided to launch an investigation into the undertakings in question.
