The rise in CBRT reserves continues
The total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) increased by $2 billion 925 million compared to the previous week in the week of December 22, reaching an all-time high of $145 billion 453 million. Net reserves excluding swaps were minus $36.4 billion last week. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) published its weekly money and banking statistics. Accordingly, as of December 22, the Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves increased by $2 billion 158 million to $97 billion 557 million. Gross foreign exchange reserves were $95 billion 399 million on December 15. The TCMB's net reserves excluding swaps were -$36.4 billion last year. It was -$36.4 billion. The previous data was -$39.2 billion. During the period in question, gold reserves also increased by $767 million, from $47 billion 129 million to $47 billion 896 million. Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank increased by $2 billion 925 million compared to the previous week, from $142 billion 528 million to $145 billion 453 million, reaching an all-time high in the week of December 22. The increase in total reserves from the end of May to the week ending December 22 was $46 billion 995 million, corresponding to a 47.7 percent increase.
