Live Translation Feature Coming to AirPods - Bloomberg

According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple Inc. is preparing a software update for its AirPods that can instantly translate conversations into different languages. This innovative feature will be part of a software update coming later this year, linked to the new version of Apple's mobile operating system, iOS 19.

With this new capability, an English-speaking user will be able to understand someone speaking Spanish. The iPhone will translate the Spanish speech and relay it to the user's AirPods in English, while the words of the English speaker will be translated into Spanish and played through the iPhone. Although other headphone manufacturers, like Google’s Pixel Buds, have offered this feature for some time, it represents a new advancement for AirPods users.
