The average order size, which was $52 during last year’s Prime Day event, increased to $54. Home goods, fashion and beauty were among the prominent categories in the sales event. The group that increased the most sales volume was home appliances. Amazon achieved a 52 percent increase in the home appliance category during the event. Cleaning supplies sales increased by 27 percent, while electronics sales increased by 15 percent. On both days, 6.5 percent of orders were made with the “Buy Now, Pay Later” system.
