The Minister of Industry, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, stated that "Industrial investments in 15 cities will contribute $12 billion annually to our current account balance." In his announcement via X, Kacır emphasized that the large-scale industrial investments in these cities, from Edirne to Samsun and Bilecik to Sivas, will strengthen Turkey's economy.
Kacır added, "From solar energy technologies to next-generation vehicles, defense industry to health technologies, and from primary metals to petrochemicals, Turkey will continue to rise in innovative technologies and raw material supply security. With an investment of $9.3 billion, over 20,000 jobs will be created, contributing $12 billion annually to our current account balance."
