The number of drilling rigs in the USA has declined.
Foreks - In the past week, the number of active oil and natural gas drilling rigs in the U.S. saw a slight decline. According to a report shared via email by Baker Hughes with Foreks News, the total number of oil and gas drilling rigs decreased by one, bringing the total to 592 for the week ending March 28. This figure is 29 rigs lower compared to the same period last year. The number of oil rigs fell by two to 484, while natural gas rigs increased by one to 103, and the count of dual-purpose rigs remained unchanged at five. Of these, 575 rigs were located on land, 14 in offshore waters, and three in inland seas.
-Canada and the Gulf of Mexico-
In the same week, Canada experienced a decrease of 17 rigs, lowering the total to 163. The number of oil rigs dropped by 10 to 108, while natural gas rigs decreased by seven to 54. In Mexico, the rig count remained steady at 12, leading to a total decline of 18 rigs across North America, bringing the total to 755.
