The DAX index will monitor inflation data coming from the other side of the Atlantic, specifically from the USA, to determine its direction this week. The indices, which serve as a barometer for global risk appetite, are directly affected by expectations regarding US monetary policy. If the US CPI data, to be announced on Wednesday, exceeds expectations, it may raise concerns that global interest rates will remain high for a longer period, leading to a flight from risky assets. This situation could pull the DAX down to the support levels of 24247.54 (S1) and 24149.90 (S2). A slowdown in inflation, on the other hand, could increase risk appetite and push the index up to the resistance levels of 24398.06 (R1) and 24450.94 (R2). The German CPI data to be released on Friday should also be closely monitored in terms of the index's internal dynamics.
