Finance and Treasury Minister Şimşek met with the Board of Directors of the Banks Association of Turkey.

Foreks - The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, attended the traditional iftar dinner of the Turkish Banks Association, meeting with the Board of Directors. The meeting evaluated developments in the global and national economy. Şimşek emphasized that the Medium-Term Program has enhanced the economy's resilience against shocks and strengthened its position.

Minister Şimşek stated, "Significant gains have been achieved through the program; all necessary measures will continue to be taken to preserve and enhance these gains. We have sufficient tools at our disposal. There is no doubt about the implementation of the program. We are working in close coordination with our institutions." He noted that the temporary fluctuations in the markets are being closely monitored with relevant institutions, emphasizing the banking sector's contribution to the program and the improvements in macro balances, which have made the sector stronger.
